st0lve Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 D2 aint no RPG, its a friggin hacknslash. koko has the right answer. I really don't like the Diablo series that much, but it could be cool if they came up with something new. Quote
alexroyce Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 *Remembers how fun D2+Expansion was* I feel like playing D2 all over again :/ Quote
ginsengavenger Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 blizzard knows that mmos are where the money's at. they have FOUR MILLION SUBSCRIBERS FFS. granted, the chinese aren't paying $15 a month but they're raking in the cash like you wouldn't believe. run a few figures and you might be surprised. Minos Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Let's hope so zilla. MMORPGs suck :/ Quote
Kosmo Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 It's basic economy and common sense, why would Blizz make a competitor for something that has a major playerbase, and especially when majority of it are fans of Blizzards other franchises. They can run the WoW mill for good 5 years or so and gather money before they need to look for anything new. I'm fairly sure that Diablo is a basic hack n' slash game following in the footsteps of the earlier ones, but I must say, they made two major changes to two of their beloved franchises, Warcraft went MMOG and Starcraft went 3rd person action adventure, so I'm fairly sure that they aren't going to leave Diablo unchanged. Yeah, they're gonna make a diablo MOVIE Quote
Kosmo Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 Well, Blizza has the best cinematic team in the game industry, so it would be totally cool. Not to mention, it would take less time than playing through the game. Quote
jfas Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 im not too into wow, mainly because i cant afford it (the time that is) but a diablo mmo is just a wetdream for me, also a diablo movie would be sweet, i loved the cinematics in d2 more than any of the others Quote
Skjalg Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 same here.. the WoW movies didnt have any cool epic events in them, but the D2 ones always had a story behind it, which made it sooo cool... Almost like the Wc3 movies, but only some of the movies there were good^^ edit; How the hell can i forget the sc and bw cinematics.. They are best evr~~ Quote
PhilipK Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 sc cinematics were really cool =) Quote
Kosmo Posted November 11, 2005 Report Posted November 11, 2005 I think WoW cinematics were rather cool, and atleast the dwarf part was pretty epic, where he was on the mountain and you could see Ironforge. But nothing, absolutely nothing todate has "touched" me as much as the return of Arthas video in WC3, absolute cinematic orgasm. Quote
