Minos
Have you ever heard of/had lucid dreams ? I thought I was crazy and nobody believed me but I had one once. It was the best dream ever he he. I remember that I realized it was a dream and then could fly all over the place. I could even choose if I wanted to wake up or not. I been reading about it and it seems that you can control it and there even are techniques to achieve it. ( http://www.lucidity.com/ ) So, how about you ? Have you ever had them ? kleinluka
yeah had it a few times. i found a neat way to control it (at least to a certain extent) is to keep telling yourself before you sleep to "look out for stupid things that dont make sense" in your dreams.... so now sometimes when i dream and something totally stupid and unlogical happens i say to myself OH HEY I'M DREAMING, AWESOME. and then i can go around and do whatever the hell i can't do in the real world. for example when i jump i can 'boost' and all of a sudden i'm flying, or i can tell people i dont like to fuck off or punch somebody in the face....or grab some hottie's boobs...you get the idea. there is no limit.... but usually i wake up shortly after noticing that I'm dreaming.. i guess it happens when the brain slowly switches from sleep to wake mode and some functions are starting to work again slowly.... dunno...but its hella cool
Minos
I read that waking up prematurely means that you are too excited in the dream. Oh and why are dreams involving girls so realistic
DanielAragon
thats a good fucking question mino. wy is that?
Mako
I'm usually not aware of a dream until the very end when i wake up, as Mr. Luka has said. Though I have a much more difficult problem. Apparently the part of my brain that is used for dreams is treated sort of like a ram drive assigned the task of being a scratch disk. I can remember every single little solitary thing that happens in a dream, until I wake up. Then it's all gone except for maybe the last 5 seconds worth of events that happend. Kosmo
The medicore 8:00 am to 4:00 pm job has left me waking 7:00 am every morning sometimes including weekends by myself, I usually wake up before the alarm goes off, so I dream alot. Sometimes happy considence that some part of my conscius self wakes up while my subcouscius is still making the dream so my still little hazy conscius self can control the dream, even if this is for a minute or so, in dream it feels like ages (a proof that human brain is fast as fuck.) Lucid Dreaming is the bomb, I once met cthulhu, which was a personal favourite, and always the nice girls brightens up the day and my productivity at work or home is easily doubled, maybe even tripled. FrieChamp
I feel disappointed each time when I realize it was just a dream
Skjalg
i didnt know this was possible, but i have been giving dreaming some thought. What i had noticed was that when i was dreaming, no matter how weird it gets, i never realize that its a dream. ever. But if i could realize that, it must be really awesome ;D
Jezpuh
I think I had it a few times, but right after that I woke up. Maybe I was just awake already but hadn't opened my eyes yet or something. I dunno.
Steppenwolf
Yea i know lucid dreams. OBE's (Out of body experiences) are even better.
Minos
Imo OBEs are lucid dreams... with spirits!
Kosmo
I think that even better than OBE or Lucid Dream is the thing when you go fr long perioids without sleep and you are full of caffeine and what not, usually happens during LANs. Man you really start to see things and hear weird sounds. But it's not healthy.
Steppenwolf
Imo OBEs are lucid dreams... with spirits! no its a difference. a lucid dream is still a dream. in a obe you are 'awake' and can leave your body, watch yourself laying on the bed, fly around in your room etc. it dissociates your soul from your body so to say. Minos
Yeah i know but what if an OBE is like a very realistic lucid dream ? Makes sense to me
