Pingu Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 im pretty sure tarantino made the kill bill series as a joke to make everyone think they're watching something amazing and deep D: Why would you think that? He wrote the movie while shooting Pulp Fiction because him and Uma thought it would be cool to do a movie about a female vigilante. Kill Bill has only been portrayed as an action comedy, nothing else. It's also a tribute to the 70's and 80's TV series, like "Fox Force Five" from Pulp Fiction. Jackie Brown was a tribute to black exploitation movies and Reservoir Dogs was just a crime story, what's so deep about anything. So plz, take the movie for what they are, the most entertaining films since 1994. Uma gets reaped and keels people~!!!loef Quote
Pingu Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Kill Bill is the most unimaginative plot ever conceived, any reviewer who says otherwise is just sucking Quentin Tarantino's cock. They tried to kill her, but she survived! So she kills them instead! And then... no wait, THAT'S IT. Creating 'really well written' dialouge such as "they only made one mistake that day, they killed N people, when they should've killed N+1!" and "I need Japanese steel" (THAT MEANS SWORD). It's a comedy... It's all just filler, crappy filler for that matter, between the fight scenes where everyone loses limbs rather than dying and wounds spurt more blood at a higher velocity than most manga films. Hell the final battle before the obligatory showdown is so gorey it was played in black and white opposed to crimson, but the film has no redeeming feature if you discount the predictable battle sequences that go on for too goddamn long anyway. ... I laughed meh ass off. Quote
madcow Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 its better than matrix 2 and 3 plot wise, and easier to sit thru than lord of the rings, so ill be seeing it Quote
