nico Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Hey! I first opened 3d studio max sometime in august this year, and allready i have to finish my first scene for evaluation. The deadline is this thursday, so i don`t really have much time left (entering panic mode) Anyhow, the task is to make a realistic interior scene, and as all the other people in my class went for these IKEA looking pictures, i chose this one http://www.fengzhudesign.com/misc/misc_feng_image09.JPG by Feng Zhu ( a really kickass photoshop dude: http://www.artbyfeng.com) this is what i got so far: http://img468.imageshack.us/my.php?image=snartferdig7qx.jpg I have worked on this scene for a bit more than 2 weeks now. It is not to be an exact copy, and as you can see i have added some other stuff to the scene. I am pretty happy with the result, but if you guys have anything you think i should add and/or constructive critisism, please reply! Thanks in advance! Quote
Zyn Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 You know what that reminds me of? This: http://www.hl-nightwatch.net/image.php?id=152 Oh my! On topic: Looks alright there, man. Could possibly be used in Source or other engines. Quote
st0lve Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Satan or whoever made that, said that he got inspired by Feng. What school? Noroff? Idefagsskolen? As for a "realistic interior scene" I think you've "failed", cause it doesn't give me anything that realistic if you get my catch. But I'm no teacher Nice stuff. Quote

However, the "realistic" part, is not you know realistic as in "could have been something we could see today". We were free to choose whatever time period or world we wanted, just the final image should look realistic as. Uhm... dunno if that made much sense =) So far the teacher has been very exited about my project, so im glad you are not the teacher thanks for replys tho, keep`em coming, and preferrably with suggestions for improvements! st0lve Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Ah in that case, it works fine. For a futuristic environment. (I think I got your point). Noroff any good? And which Noroff (city) are you at? Quote
General Vivi Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 its looking good man , dont' worry about dead lines too much just work none stop and make believe that your going to sleep Quote
nico Posted October 27, 2005 Author Report Posted October 27, 2005 Thanks for all the nice replys! http://img482.imageshack.us/my.php?image=bongardnicolaiosloblig1int05re.jpg this is the final render. Only added depth of field effect to it. Didnt want it to be "overcrowded" with objects. Now i just wait to see what the teacher thinks... Quote
PhilipK Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 really cool stuff. I like what you've done to the edges of the circular thing there. And the round ceiling lights looks very cool. Quote
