mawibse Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Well the experts say that the way it's spreading amongst birds its increasing the risk mongfold of a cross speicies mutation. Should we stockpile flu vaccine while we can? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_depth/wor ... efault.stm
Kosmo Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 I'm glad I live in Finland and winter is coming so no birds here for good 6 months or so.
RD Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Its inevitable i think. And Kosmo, once it breaks out it spreads like the flu, from human to human, so it doesnt really matter whether u have birds there or not.
⌐■_■ Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Birds excrete the virus in their faeces, which dries and becomes pulverised, and is then inhaled. Hmm... Never really stood still that I was inhaling birdfaeces when standing close to a cage. Worldwide, experts predict anything between two million and 50 million deaths. Wow... (But then again, these are only the consequences when a eventual birdflu would break out).
Kosmo Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Or like Bush said "from bird to person to person"
mawibse Posted October 18, 2005 Author Report Posted October 18, 2005 Hmm its like this, our second biggest resourse of proteine has catched a plague. When such a plague hits big cities with large amount of poor people (read lives close to animals) like in Africa it will without a doubt, because of the large population subjected with no resources of control, mutate into a human to human situation and then we will have a shitload of people sick EVERYWHERE not just in third world countries. This is not UFO's or Yeti, this is a plague, we KNOW they exist, we KNOW that pandemic plagues usually erupt every 80 years or so but we have been lucky lately. Lets put it like this, buy stocks in Tamiflu, it will skyrocket.
Kosmo Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Hey! You are just like that guy. Nostradamus.
mawibse Posted October 18, 2005 Author Report Posted October 18, 2005 Talking about which, I had a dream about a burning bush telling me to put it out and move to Finland since Finland would be spared the fifty fifty flue. Dreams are weird..
Blunkka Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Yea but still it's more likely to die in a car accident than to die to this virus just as it was with SARS
von*ferret Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Live your life, cause when you die you die!
Minos Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 I wonder if this flu wasnt created by some company so they can sell the vacines! Man, imho mankind is so hypnotized by their consumist desires that they won't give a shit to this as long as it doesnt affect their lives directly. People are becoming so fucking stupid (yeah, even more than what they used to be), they believe in everything they see on TV. Last day I saw on tv that we are entering in a natural period of time when hurricanes will get stronger. Who the fuck is dumb enough to believe this ? We all know mankind been fucking up the environment, c'mon, just open your eyes. While mexican gulf and southeast asia are suffering from hurricanes and the shit, the amazon rainforest area in Brazil is suffering from the worst dryness in like 50 years. I know I went a bit off topic but its got something to do with the flu subject.
mawibse Posted October 21, 2005 Author Report Posted October 21, 2005 look out! bird flu Yeah yeah laugh all you want but don't come crying to me when MC Donalds runs out of chicken brugers and.... AAAAHHH look behind you!!!! ITSA BIRD!!!!!! *faints*
