alexroyce Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Theres a glitch in Hammer which screws the "snap to grid" thing with brushes and causes them to float at wierd points on the map. Usually this can be fixed by changing the brush size, then changing it back. I think the whole problem exists is because some models are made not to line up with the grid so you can place them properly. Also: Selecting models and brushes, then moving them, is practically gauranteed to make the entire selection float off the grid in a strange way. Edit: I dont know if this is the problem youre having or not, but hopefully it helped somehow. Quote
KungFuSquirrel Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 What you're seeing here is a side effect of scrolling grids with the mouse wheel. Use the numerical shortcuts to grid zooms and it'll line up perfectly each time. Some of the weird in between zooms just don't like to align themselves. This bugged the hell out of me when I was doing HL stuff, thus ensuring I'd never use the mouse wheel heh. Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 my scroll wheel is broken so i just use i think d and c, dont really remember i just do it Quote
Campaignjunkie Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 I actually love this feature - I use the mouse-wheel all the time in Hammer. Mousewheel, Ctrl+E, Brackets = win Quote
