mike-0
did it have different fps for the sp demo?
ReNo
Post a screenshot of your settings too. Some of them are quite possibly designed for 512mb graphics cards, and might drag down performance on a 256mb card.
Spellbinder
I let the game decide aswell. But it got ugly as hell. I tried some other settings but it got slow and stuff. I didnt really liked the game so i don't think i will try to get it as goodlooking and fast as possible. Maybe i could try the single player demo if it is out and ill find it. Specs:AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1.8Ghz 2GB RAM PAE (Physical Adress Extension), ATI Radeon 9550 256MB DDR Spellbinder.
JynxDaddy
F.E.A.R performs bad compared to other 'sexy engines' on my pc too. I run COD2 demo at 800x600 4xAA and it looks superb~ What settings cause the biggest performance hit?
h2
It's the first game that performed really bad on my comp.
Zacker
Same experience here. Either it looked bad or else it ran bad:/

JynxDaddy
Hey Zyn can you just send me your computer, I need to check something.
Mazy
its strange with fear, because the demo ran perfect with everything on max here, but in the full game it starts jagging a bit when i put on aa. But its strange because all other shooters run perfect in full detail on this computer.
D3ads
Imho you don't need AA, so turn it off, it should run a lot better.
Kamikazi!
Soft shadows cause a huge hit too.
Section_Ei8ht
the soft shadows look teh crap, anyway. This game chokes on my machine with the same settings as any other game. I've got a AMD 64 3500+ 2x512 Kingston HyperX RAM PC 3200 Dual Channel ASUS Geforce 7800 GTX PCIE 16x I can have 1280x1024 on any game full res maxed aa and as and it runs smooth as butter. Try to do the same thing in fear, run horrible. Fear does not even look impressive enough to bog down my system the way it does. BF2, COD2, Doom3, Painkiller, Source, etc, all look a lot better and run smoother than fear. I'm quite dissapointed.
Mazy
Imho you don't need AA, so turn it off, it should run a lot better. I used to think that, but the more you play with antialiasing the more it grows on you, and the more irretating it becomes to see them jaggy lines, even in higher res. At least it does with me :G
