The Postman Posted October 5, 2005 Report Posted October 5, 2005 Im just taking the broadest definition of the theory intelligent design, and not the one hijacked by religions. Intelligent design simply means intelligent design, with no conclusion on what designed what and how. I guess we were all talking about diffrent things then. I should have clicked the link to see it was about adam being planted on earth 5000 years ago Not in America. In America it means religious right Christian evangelical beliefs. Nothing more.
Kosmo Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 It's kinda like the growing earth thing, Bush spends insane amounts of money to prove that there were deep oceans around over 200 million years ago, even if there is almost air tight proof that there wasn't. Earth was smaller back then and dinosaurs lived in smaller gravity, one of the reasons why they were so big. Universe and everything grew apparently from nothing which is nice to know
Pericolos0 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 what? im pretty sure there was just about as much gravity 65 million years ago than there is now.. where did earth gain all its weight?
mawibse Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 Gains weight same as me, too much pizza tacos and burgers. Hehe, sorry; not more weight but if the universe expands exponentially, as the scientists say it does, then everything in it also inflates so less gravity and more space everywhere.
Pericolos0 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 even if earth used to be smaller because of the expansion of space (and im pretty sure atoms wernt smaller 100 million years ago because space was smaller anyways), there would still be as much gravity because the mass would be thesame. From what i know, dinosaur sizes had to do with the climate
mawibse Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 It's in regards to the centre of the object/mass. So if earths surface is further away from the centre then... it would have less "gravity", meaning it used to be a higher gravity when earth was smaller. Just as a black hole has a darn strong gravity. So big dinosaurs probobly crawled around not being able to stand up from the high gravity. Damn, I should be a scientist.
Pericolos0 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 its obvious only the supernatural powers of an intelligent god could have caused the big sizes of dinosaurs in this hostile high gravity enviroment.
Schmung Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Steven Spielberg used his vast fortune to build a time machine so he could go back and make it look like there were Dinos so he and Michael Critchton could make a fuckton outta Jurassic Park. Which is about as plausible a theory as intelligent design. So there.
mawibse Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 I'm sure the plausibility of a theory is judged by... a banjo player??? Well suck me senseless but I think it's more plausible that intelligent life can create new life then that you can build a time machine that can transport you hundreds of million of years back and forth in time. Not nessesarily the religious right Christian evangelical kinda intelligent life though..

The Postman Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 its obvious only the supernatural powers of an intelligent god could have caused the big sizes of dinosaurs in this hostile high gravity enviroment. ...and then put them on Noah's Ark, right? Or did they die in the Floods
mawibse Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 I think it's a sin to live long before god created earth so, yes they where all flooded.
Pericolos0 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 why would that be a sin? do you seriously believe this?
mawibse Posted October 10, 2005 Author Report Posted October 10, 2005 If I seriously beleive that anything can live on earth before its created? It's obviously a sin to exist before god told it too!!! I thought the glaring logical error gave it away?
ginsengavenger Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 what the hell is going on in here?
