Kosmo Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Nice one, have to actually take a close look at that. Maybe I should stop drinking every weekend and get my groove back. Nugget of truth: "Want to appear smarter? Order sushi. Types of fat called EPA and DHA in fatty fish like salmon are important components of brain and sperm cells. So you're covered no matter which body part you think with." Quote
kleinluka Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Thanks, good read. Now that i have my own george foreman grill I shall cook my own burgers instead of relying on good ole McD's Quote
FrieChamp Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 I recommend going to a gym which has gym coaches who can give you advise on what to cut from your food schedule and what to eat instead. Especially how much you should eat, because this depends on your body weight and other factors. The article already got some valuable info though Quote
Kosmo Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 I recommend going to a gym which has gym coaches who can give you advise on what to cut from your food schedule and what to eat instead. Especially how much you should eat, because this depends on your body weight and other factors. The article already got some valuable info though I agree, but the coaches on my gym are no health food experts, as in they don't know jack shit about a good diet, they only know about the basic stuff (eat lots of red meat) and the "take two of these pills in the morning and three liters of this stuff to max out the musclemass on your groin and two scoops of this to make your adrenaline pump so you can smash someones scull open if they tick you off, and finally don't stop benchpressing even if there is little bleeding from your ears", I think they are more like bodybuilding experts than fitness experts. von*ferret Posted September 26, 2005 Author Report Posted September 26, 2005 eating right and eating to gain muscle is different. To gain muscle you're supposed to eat near your weight in grams of protein. (body weight in pounds) x (.45 (kilograms in a pound)) x (1.4) = How many grams of protien a DAY you need to eat. The list though shows you what is healthier to eat. Quote
Kosmo Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Maybe Yoga or Fitness instructors might know better what to eat. "Gaim(gym)? What's a Gaim ... oh, Gaim" -Homer Simpson Quote
Spellbinder Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 I don't get the hype about eating right and this and that and without sugar or fat and what not. Humans has learned from 100 of thousand years what we should eat and not, and i believe its still good. We just need to move around lot more then we do. I hate everything light and stuff that they have put chemicals and vitamins and wierd stuff instead of the real cream or real sugar. I don't mean that you should be eating bad like MacDonalds food all the time, just eat normal food like meat, bread, pasta, potatoes, vegitables, fruit, fish and so on and move a lot. Spellbinder. But that right there is actually "eating right" and eating right = healthy. The fake sugars and light cokes are just marketting fads, and actually faulty adverticing to be healthy, they are actually worse to your health than food with real sugar and normal coke. And anyone who has even mild knowledge on the sugject knows that. And, you can't find much anything that they haven't added some extra kalsium or vitamins, well, atleast not here in Europe. Quote

st0lve Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 I am amazed that I eat so much A and B food D:! And I feel that I only eat junk. Quote
von*ferret Posted September 26, 2005 Author Report Posted September 26, 2005 Its the snythetic stuff you have to watch out for like Kosmo said. The "fake" sugar is really bad. The shit they put on your frenchfries. Cooknig your own food is always better but eating right will boost energy like I said. Quote
Tequila Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Gotta love my university providing a cheap, well-equipped gym. Quote
