Very early days, working on geometry with playtest with friends soon

First time making a map in source2, had a lot of trouble getting it compiled with the lighting since I do not own a gpu with integrated rtx but we got there.

I'm taking my sweet time with finishing the layout since I aim for this to be atleast somewhat competitively playable. Had first playtest with real players and made some adjustments to the layout. This entire process is super slow since this is my first time actually mapping with a goal instead of just putting random shit together. I'm super close to a layout I am happy with so I will start adding some textures and learning about stuff at the same time

Next I will start trying to figure out skybox stuff and make the beach scenery since that won't change if I make changes anywhere else

A lot has happened since my last post so I'll try to update a bit here. I changed the b site layout, mainly the boardwalk since the previous iteration didn't fit thematically. A-site (the house on the right) is bit smaller now, and the site itself is still under construction, trying new stuff on it. I  also added a new pathway on the right side of the a house, where T's can get by jumping up a dumpster, and the ct's can get by boosting to there. Currently I am working on the cave area on the left side of the map. I will try to get the insides of the map to a state where I can somewhat leave them up to finishing touches, so I can start working on the skybox, since I know that will take a considerable amount of work and time, since I also have to research and learn the whole thing at the same time :D. Overall it's going well and I'll try to update this thread more frequently in the future..
