Izuno Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 Valve: HL1, HL2 and for letting me work on Day of Defeat Blizzard: Warcraft 3 pwned me id: yeah we all know what these guys did. Pandemic Studios: Mercenaries rules plus their offices rock and the guys are cool...and I liked FSW even though it was sort of a niche game. They have an usual take on the same-old same-old, so I give them credit for their passion. Gearbox: because Opposing Force was the best expansion pack evar...but mainly because they've got Mojo who is Mojotastic. Relic: Again, more super cool guys with a lot of passion. Dawn of War rocked and Company of Heroes will, too! Quote

Zacker Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 I have not really thought much about exactly which company I would like to work for as I am pretty certain that I am going to love it regardless which of them it's going to be. Crytek. They made FarCry one of the most well made games ever created imo. That game simply did most of what you always had dreamed of being able to do in a videogame. IO Interactive. They are danish and make great games like Hitman and Freedom Fighters. The true reason is of course that they got the great Mazy:D Epic Games: UT and UT2k4 perfected the MP FPS. Remedy. MP1&MP2 are some really great games in terms of everything from story to graphics and they are just plain fun to play. Deadline Games. They are danish and Total Overdose looks pretty cool. Quote
insta Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 In no particular order Valve - Great community-support, great games. Ritual - Sin, although flawed at launch, was a great game. Hopefully Sin2 will be their big comeback. iD - Quake and Doom series, sheesh. If it hadn't been for Quake1, this forum wouldn't exist and we would probably all play sports or something Rockstar North - God I love the GTA games. Epic - The UT series of games. Also, very community-orientated. Quote
Smokey21 Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 Capcom- Resident Evil series, Street Fighter. Valve- HL1, Source, great community and modifications Rockstar north- GTA series id Software- Quake Gearbox Software- Brothers In Arms is the WW2 game I've always wanted. Quote

ReNo Posted September 13, 2005 Report Posted September 13, 2005 I'm actually somewhat surprised to see nobody has put Ubisoft, given their huge range of great games. If I had one western developer in my list, it would probably be them. Couldn't get down to specific studios or anything like that, but their entire range have put out so many good games its hard to find fault with them. Why the hatred of Rockstar, Andrew? I'm not a huge fan of them (barely touched any GTA game since the first) myself, just curious though Quote
