HomeFries Posted April 12 Report Posted April 12 (edited) I will be working on a hostage map set at a pop-up carnival. I feel like there is a lot of fun scenery that can be done with this concept, and it will all be incorporated into the design. Given the theme and the fact this is hostage, my goal is to make this map appeal to the casual audience by including little games and stuff to shoot at around the map while also being competitively viable in its layout. My current plan is to have the left lane be a concession area leading up to a circus tent, the middle be a big funhouse/obstacle course, and the right lane be inside a haunted house. I made the layout for this map a few weeks ago for fun because I was planning on doing this at some point in the future, but here we are. Cheers to Mapcore and Faceit staff for putting this contest together Edited May 11 by HomeFries MrTrane18, thewaterisfine and Conflig 2 1 Quote
MrTrane18 Posted April 14 Report Posted April 14 (edited) My god! I was floating around the map and wondered. What this dude is up too? I mean. I will try my best just to take part with you guys. But seeing projects and everything here. I think it is pointless for me to try, haha! Best of luck with the project, too! P.S Made this little showcase of the map version at 14.04.2024. Hope it boosts the motivation! Showcase video of the map. Edited April 14 by MrTrane18 Quote
thewaterisfine Posted May 11 Report Posted May 11 enjoyed playing this map! i dont know much about hostage maps but it would be nice for T's to have a route to get behind the right side wall without the dangerous crossing. mid is fun to play and where i assume most of the action will take place so adding that possibility for terrorists to be behind the left or right wall adds some variety!
