question about hl2

hey, someone told me awhile back that in a book on half-life 2 stated they used no photosourcing on the face (and I think the clothing/body) does anyone know if this is true on not? thanks

I'm pretty sure they used photosourcing for all the faces. In the Raising the bar book there's pictures of the in-game models and the real-life "inspiration". Don't know about the clothes though

I'm pretty sure they're photosourced, but a great deal was probably painted as well like the Max Payne 2 skins..

G-man's face is based off a guy named frank sheldon, "World-renowned Alexander Technique Practitioner", he's also a chubby version of G-man
