Hipshot
Haha, that is a unique design A bit disorienting I think, still cool!
marque_pierre
Any ideas of how I could make it less disorienting without loosing the style?
Hipshot
Maybe tweak the text colors and make the font clearer... like this: http://img297.imageshack.us/img297/4562/sculpt0uq.jpg See the text 3d modeling and sculpting, they are much clearer and easier to read. And you ofc see the colors variations, its very test-ish though.
Hipshot
I don't care for people hiding PDFs under links, since my computer tends to hang a few min when I open them in Firefox.
marque_pierre
Whoops. Well, the site is designed to run optimally on Internet Explorer. There are some of the roll overs I just can't get to work right in Firefox. AS for your suggestion, thanks. But don't you think that the spatial set up kind of underlines that these groups are different categories. At least that was the idea... Tequila
Very unique, amusing design, but the sub-page font is fucking horrendous mate. Stick to something bigger, clearer and more sensible. Also, perhaps roll some of the areas into each other to make it more efficient to browse. Not so sure of this suggestion myself, but prospective viewers don't want to waste time searcing 20 or so sub-areas just to find out whether you're what they're after. Hope that helps. Minos
Wow that's a lot of content One suggestion: Some colors like this would be cool http://www.superzap.com/biblioteca/quim ... iodica.gif (Just some desatured colors would do the job imo). oh I love this one http://www.marquepierre.com/images/cartoon.jpg GJ man
marque_pierre
Hmm. The idea with the many different sub areas was so you could easily find exactly what you were after, and only that. I guess that is not working out right. I did consider to use more colours like a traditional periodic table, but I think the strength of the design is its simplicity, hence the drama and high contrast of only, red, black and white... The font I use everywhere is either Hattenschweiler or Impact, for consistency. But I have heard people complain about that font more than once, particularly if they don't have it installed. Perhaps a change is in order...

Not sentences. Also, you should not use a font that is not a default font, that just stupid, since there isn't that many that has a font Hattenschweiler, espec if you have no intrest in design with different fonts. Captain P
The idea is very nice. Good creativity. But the menu shows a bit too much options at the same time, and when you hover over an item it's really hard to read on it what section it is. I also think there should be more consistency between the main page and the subpages. The subtitling in the lower left of my browser was funny, bytheway. Nice touch.
