Warby Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 a clash of styles indeed !!! i wasnt sure if peopel would get it but you did the tripod the brigth one is mapped all unique on one large texture whcih is supreme batchable but the over all texel density is not as high that is currently the way to go for game art and is somethign i dont like but it runs faster so i must learn it the colossus the dark guy is uv mapped like a map/level with lots and lots of different tileable repeating materials the absolut "hell" for render statchanges its the uvmappign style i love but that unfortnuatly i have to let go off ! thats what these 2 guys represent for me ! ... kind of like the last stand before i abandon this technique /edit thats also why the tripod kinda looks more evil than the colossus and looks like hes winning and yes hoepfully both will look good ingame therers absolutly no garantue either of em will ^^ Quote

The sub surface is really basic right now, havn't had time to play with it. This is a couple of hours of work now. Quote
