TeddyBear Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Nice start! The face does however look stretched, like someone would have pulled the cheeks back or something. Easy fixes, so just keep it up! Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Acumen, nice one mate, that must look really rad ingame ! Peris, yeah the chicks are weird from that angle , and the mouth looks a bit big to me, you made that from an imported model, or from a plane ? Quote
Acumen Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 thanks KoKo5oVaR, i really hope to see it ingame soon peris doodling becomes more serious everytime he doodles i like it much better than the last one cause it looks like a more serious attempt instead of doodling ^^ the eyes look a bit wide whereas i think the mouth looks fine the way it is. cheeks-wise it's hard to tell, really without the rest of the head attached. i really like to see a more finished version of that right now i really like the progress so far, looks much crisper and more thought of while doodling. Pericolos0 Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Thanks for the comments guys , I'll work more on my anatomy here's another one i doodled yesterday.. some russian looking guy I made them both from a sphere... maybe i'll do a proper head mesh first to work from one of these days... because the topology on spheres always gets completely fucked up when turning it into a face Quote
tomdon Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 A selection of stuff that is going in the background of some images I am making. They dont have to be super detailed because they wont be very big in the shots. Quote
Nazul Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 omg teh pro!~~ not very detailed my arse Quote
Dennispls Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 It does lack some detail nazul:) the texture work could use some work if it was very visible But for background stuff its perfectly fine. Quote
Spellbinder Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 This is no critism or anything because i think you guys that models and make your own skins and stuff are awsome, i could dream to be as good as you. BUT isnt those bent? Quote
Polaris Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 I thing they're supposed to be like that. I believe that's what allows the "mouth" to move back and forth, while the larger arm makes it move up and down. Or something Quote
tomdon Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Small update, worked on the gen texture a bit and made a simple low poly fuel line. Quote
Bic-B@ll Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 thats some really cool stuff, i think they they would look at lot better with a different color yellow, the mustard ruins it for me Quote
tomdon Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Yeh, I dont like yellow either, they had all been a nice blue, but my client wants that yellow . Quote
requiem2d Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Nice work Tomdon, mabye focus your energy on defining the materials a little more at this point. Cheers Quote
tomdon Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 I would do normaly but this stuff is going to be small in the final images. I am making an image of a big resuce hovercraft on a barge with lots of equipment on it. The hovercraft will be filling 90% of the image. This stuff really is background fluff. Quote
Quakis Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Some good stuff there tomdon, great work! Another basic, low poly model from me. 40 triangles. Still got a little more tweaking to do on the skin. Edit; Ingame shot shows it better. Quote
