pnyx Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 thanks guys Do a skin for her X-2 costume! I think that would require a different mesh, but I think about it Quote
nico Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 working on background/scenery for final project on my school. Supposed to end up being some sort of ancient place, a tad ruined. Havent come to the ruining the place yet tho http://img527.imageshack.us/my.php?image=testarchway1pa.jpg Quote
hessi Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 i think some people will remind me as i modeled this tank. i textured it once but then a screwed the texture because of two things: it was terrible ugly and second it was pure texturespace wasteage. this is how far i got with the new texture in the new uv set which is now more stiched together. Mazy Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Sweet stuff Hessi, my only thought is that the sides arent very dirty where as the turret is pretty messy, would make sense if it was more dirty one the sides and front~ Quote
Gaz Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Thats pretty sweet If the section on the left is the underside, you could have gotten away with halfing it/mirroring, or just making it smaller, as its not really going to be seen much (take a hell of an explosion to send it upside down) and its very plain compared to the rest. Perhaps the same could go for the underside of the main turret too. The rest is really well packed from what I can see though. Really good job Quote
hessi Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 maybe i didnt made it that clear: i just rextured the upper part. of course i will make it dirty at the bottom and add more detail like rust scratches and stuff. i just felt like having to show you my wip i will finish the tank maybe this week. gonna make the video tutorial now! Steppenwolf Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Looks cool. A little hint. In ww2 tanks, planes etc. usualy had a "balkenkreuz" on their sides not such a classic iron cross. Quote
KoKo5oVaR Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Shit.. you are crazy hessi, what a huge amount of work.. Your UVmap is really sex i must say, lightmaps ftw . Is it your smoothgroups that are screwed on the front of the tank, or is it intentional ? Quote
von*ferret Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Did you create a metal texture to overlay first? Looks hot! Quote
Pericolos0 Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 that looks really awesome hessi whats up with the doenerking filter though EDIT: Im a retard that didnt click the images Quote
teeluu Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Yea, awesome hessi Any comments on this little model before i unwrap it? I was thinking of starting a rats map from my bathroom, not too original idea but what the hell, i have cool ideas for it! I hope it's rounded enough when considering it's about 2 times the size of player. 416 polys, i might lower it under 400. Quote
st0lve Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Nice tank hessi, but its abit blurry at some parts compared to others! Quote
nooba Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 nice ancient place, nico the only thing that I don't like is your balusters, they look a bit weird.. here is a sheet of some balusters if you are interested, http://www.arundelstone.co.uk/images/Balusters.jpg here is a column that i made Quote
