Spherix Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 That plaster seems a bit heavy on the bumpmap, don't you think? Other than that, sexy textures. Quote
Squad Posted July 31, 2014 Report Posted July 31, 2014 I agree with Spherix, but I also think the plaster doesn't really make "sense" as it is now. It doesn't follow a clear edge/trim. It seems like the stucco-worker randomly plastered a few bricks on the top side. Other than that, I like it Is it supposed to be set in a specific European country/city? It looks like something you'd come accross in The Netherlands or Belgium a lot, but could be a lot of places. Quote
Steppenwolf Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 Agree the plaster makes no sense. Looks like a foreign object. Plaster diffuse is also too bright and the normal map is ugly. But the whole rest of the buildings looks nice. Quote
Fuzyhead Posted August 2, 2014 Report Posted August 2, 2014 I have to agree all of you afterwards - the plaster seems indeed a bit off, especially the normalmap and the brightness. Thanks for the feedback Quote
PogoP Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 Looks cool man. Try indenting the area where the blade goes into the handle. Also, what sorta job do you want to get in the industry? (I presume you aren't in the industry yet? Correct me if I'm wrong!) If you'd like to become an env artist, it might be cool for you to try some material definition tests, or even making a small environment to get used to an engine. If you've already done this, then apologies! I just only seem to see props from you in this thread. Quote
kanine01 Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 (edited) Most of what I've been posting in the thread has been doodles. I'm working on developing a small game in UE4 with some people at the moment, I'm also currently experimenting with recreating a hallway from the Enterprise in Star Trek: TNG in UE4. I plan on posting screenshots soon. Edited August 8, 2014 by kanine01 ShockaPop and PogoP 2 Quote
