penE Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 thxthxhthx For the woodfloor I used the new imaged based reflections, some vertex painting + hovering smoke on top of it. Quote
FMPONE Posted August 31, 2012 Report Posted August 31, 2012 I'm a little bit ashamed to post under this mindblowing door knob, but I want to share some progress of my little scene with you: BLURBLURBBLURB: There's still quite a lot of stuff missing. I think I'll make a little bamboo forest and some more interior stuff in addition to this. Beautiful stuff mate, both the first shot and the second Quote
kikette Posted September 1, 2012 Report Posted September 1, 2012 Hmmm.. it remind me something ! Quote
kikette Posted September 2, 2012 Report Posted September 2, 2012 Some new props ! The lighting is a complete test. I do not have any light or windows ='( And a new generic mat'. I dunno What I will add on but for now, iit has a good smell. Quote

mjens Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 Yep, nice but there's gray only. Try to add leaks or moss that will add a bit of different color but not so strong. A little bit and it will do the job. When environment tells a story it's OK but when texture will tell a story than it's awesome and easier to make the scene feel "complete" and "full". I mean... when there's noting going on on textures then you need to add decals/props to make it more interesting to read. Still "less is more" - it's easy to make a mess with "stories" on textures. kikette Posted September 3, 2012 Report Posted September 3, 2012 I completly agree with you but these color addition will come with some foliage props and texture variation by vertex color. I thought it was too early yet at this stage ^^ Quote

I thought it was too early yet at this stage ^^ The plan is to make it cool so you'll decide what and when you'll add that. If you already had an idea on the color palette and the "mood/feel" of the scene then it's a green light for adding it. Quote
kikette Posted September 5, 2012 Report Posted September 5, 2012 New object =) A little comparaison ; There is an other stair I made the previous years during holidays too. Quote
penE Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 Digging those textures man~ yep, very nice style. Quote
Seldoon182 Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 Wow!! You really improved your skill Kirumi. I dig your env work. I just noticed a little seam prob that popped up to me. I let you judge how you could enhanced this. Quote
mjens Posted September 9, 2012 Report Posted September 9, 2012 So you've made half of the handrail and welded it? Top polys should have it's own mapping, not mirrored. Something like this: Quote
