deceiver Posted December 9, 2010 Report Posted December 9, 2010 More progress, WIP composited single frame as we wait for renders to finish: Quote
Froyok Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 W00t ! Very cool deceiver ! I find the blue in the shadows a little bit too strong... on the tree in the foreground for example. And depth of field gives the impression that what we see is a small model. Quote
deceiver Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 Would you change the blue of the shadows or just make it less blue? And ya, I think we'll tone down the lens blur a touch. Quote
PogoP Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 Been working on a Tractor model from high poly. It was my first real experience with high poly modelling, was good fun! This is the model baked and cleaned up, next process is texturing. Quote
Pampers Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 looking good, but there are some places you could trim down the tri count a bit, like the chair, the chamfer on the tire tracks, the cylinder on the underside and some parts on the front =) Quote
PogoP Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 You're right. I'm going to keep it as is for the small environment I'm working on, simply because I have a very high tri count, but if I use it somewhere else I'll take the tri count down a bit more. It's those wheels that are eating up tris! Threw a few basic colours on the tractor, gonna start texturing properly tomorrow: Quote
dux Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 That's a peculiar looking tractor. Looks to be borderline garden mower /country bumpkin Quote
PogoP Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 It's a mini tractor. Main reference was the 'Kubota B6000'. Quote
dux Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 I'd totally buy one of those to be annoying on roads. Quote
Gloglebag Posted December 11, 2010 Report Posted December 11, 2010 Did a new tutorial from digital tutors. Quote
JeanPaul Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 More progress, WIP composited single frame as we wait for renders to finish: http://bit.ly/husJ1p I agree with what Froyok said, remove the color casts in the shadow and run with a unified color theme. It looks a lot better I edited your image in photoshop: -removed color casts in shadows -desaturated blue and cyan -saturated red and a little yellow -added a slight yellow overlay color cast to the whole image (really slight) Original: My edit: Quote
dux Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 I prefer the original, to be honest. The altered one is just too grey. Quote
twiz Posted December 14, 2010 Report Posted December 14, 2010 yeah, everything in the foreground looks like it's made of concrete now Quote
