Zeta Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 I really like the clean / simplistic style. Quote
mjens Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Thanks, I have some opponents that say it's to clean and sterilised. Well, it have to be simple to make the layout readable. I only want to create nice tree model but I don't know how to fix the "visible plane" issue Maybe I'll add some more planes to make branches not so flat... Quote
twiz Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Cool! Those buildings are really cool lookin. And I like the soft spheroid trees! Quote

ElectroSheep Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 Did you forget the second one in 3D ? That's cool anyway. here is a house for school, 5000 tris, generic textures and normal map : Quote
arhurt Posted March 24, 2010 Report Posted March 24, 2010 Practcing hard modelling again. Loosely based on a random concept from the interwebz. Quote
ultradr3mer Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 it looks to static, if you look at wipeout these things have no real 90° corners. you should also avoid them in order to make it look fast. Quote
AlexM Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 Did you forget the second one in 3D ? That's cool anyway. here is a house for school, 5000 tris, generic textures and normal map : very nice The bottom is maybe a little clean. Quote
jaboo224 Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Work in progress wall/door/entry that i have been working on. Technically this is my first model since all i have done so far is a crate and barrel so im pretty happy with it so far. I have been hand painting the textures as well using some but very little photo's to help it lots of work left on it tho Quote
arhurt Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Had a little progress on the ship. Decided to change the design a bit. Quote
Sentura Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 looks more like a drone or a tie fighter now. i really like the vertical thrusters though, they're definitely different from standard racers Quote
Sindwiller Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Yep, reminds me more of a drone, too. Quote
arhurt Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Yes, actually what happened there is that I deleted the Cockpit and exposed the mesh within that was simply the engine. but I liked the result a lot. I'm not sure though because I was trying to loosely follow my reference image... even though it is an open concept and I have already changed a lot of the details, changing the cockpit is a wide step away from the original. Concept taken from the Feng Zhu Design school website (random google search) Quote
