Minos Posted March 5, 2010 Report Posted March 5, 2010 My first ever Zbrush sculpt! Going to finish it, and then get it in the Unreal engine. Let me know what you think. Obviously the face isn't done, as well as the hands. Is that a fat pint-sized slasher? Looks pretty good for a first sculpture! Quote
DaanO Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 All 40+ looking for some young meat? awww yeaaa sign me up me too Quote
DaanO Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 looking good, (next thing can and will probably be used against me) especially the back and the ass. looks very natural. but what's the thing on his head? Quote
PogoP Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 looking good, (next thing can and will probably be used against me) especially the back and the ass. looks very natural. but what's the thing on his head? Haha! That's just his hair tied back. It'll make more sense when I sculpt the head! It's not very defined at all, it'll hopefully make more sense when sculpted. Quote
ElectroSheep Posted March 8, 2010 Report Posted March 8, 2010 No ! Zbrush for the win !!! A good dinosaure here Quote
twiz Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 a car model I did a while ago, recently got VRay and gave it a whirl. Car obviously needs a lot of work/details (windows, door seams, trim, grille/lights, interior, etc) but I got busy and never finished it. It is modeled in Rhino3D (all NURBs!) and rendered with vray for rhino, just on a simple infinite plane with a sun. Just basic color diffuse with some reflection/refraction. Quote
Nurb Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 Looks like something out of a mid-budget prerendered game intro video, from 1995 Just 15 years to go! I guess it's somehow impressive just considering the tools used Quote
-HP- Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 Erm... that looks, different from other VRay renders I've seen. Quote
twiz Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 Probably because I don't really know what I'm doing with it Just watched a couple tuts on youtube and did a render. And yes, I know the model sucks. And the render sucks. maybe I shouldn't have posted I've got probably 50 or so hours in that model, just wanted to show off something since I really don't get to do this much anymore Quote
Nurb Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 It's always good to post, especially when you have put time into something. As you realize yourself, it's not the best car model ever made, but it doesn't have to be. Sorry if I came across as harsh with my previous comment/joke. I didn't mean to bash your effort Quote
twiz Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 Nah no hurt feelings As a mechanical engineering student, most of my modeling these days is not "pretty" like modeling for games is. Unfortunately its been several years since I have had time to do any games-related modeling/mapping Sadly that car is the prettiest thing I've done in a long time! Quote
mjens Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 twiz, I have the same problem that you have. No time to do some stuff for mapping. Here are some of the stuff I did as a student (landscape architecture): Sorry these are 2D also but it makes sense when it's together Quote
