Minos Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 finished my slaughterhouse tools plus a couple of new ones: click for enormousness Not bad but they look like concrete rather than metal ;o Quote
-HP- Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Agree with dux there, probably because of lack of proper lighting / highlights as well. Quote
catfood Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 Prop for my upcomming map. By the way the0rthopaedicsurgeon, like the green Meat grinder Are you going to use them for some kind of map ? Quote
Bluestrike Posted May 27, 2009 Report Posted May 27, 2009 I wanted to do a model based on concept art , I was looking for a player model but could not find any reference images with front and side views but stumbled upon this stuff from a old canceled mod I was part of and desided to give it a go instead. Its a dropship that carries modules. 6134 triangles, by far my most complex model so far and my wrist hurts from making it Quote
AlexM Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 crap thought a news update was going out but it wasnt will repost in a day or 2 Quote
JoshuaC Posted May 30, 2009 Report Posted May 30, 2009 It's not much but hey I'm starting to get the hang of things. The texturing is a little stretched on the bottom but I think it came out pretty good. Quote
JoshuaC Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Another one. This one was particularly hard to unwrap but I managed to get it done. Quote
Em' Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 I like the second, simple and "impressive" ! The first looks a little bit "weird" or "not finished" ^^ Quote
JeanPaul Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Not bad, are you just using TF2 textures? Quote
JoshuaC Posted May 31, 2009 Report Posted May 31, 2009 Not bad, are you just using TF2 textures? Yeah I extracted the wood and dirt textures, and I've been piecing them onto the stamped UV and then overlaying a baked AO map on top of it. Quote
arhurt Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Well time for a second go at a low poly character. And this time under the 500 tris limit! I still have some more detailing to do on the texture, such as the arm joints that are just a plain color right now. But I want to model his weapon first. Comments are very welcome Edit: Well, I've fixed the proportions a bit and finished the material, weapon and rigging. Learned a bit more, am pleased Quote
