aph0x Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 nice speed sculpt loafi ! i love the style of the wing shape here are some wip screens from my first character a "spartan hoplite".. the goal is an ue3 ready character for my first portfolio i'm using 3dsmax, zbrush & deepuv for this project : c&c are welcome Quote
hessi Posted August 6, 2008 Report Posted August 6, 2008 imo his legs are too short. i'd be interested in seeing the lowpoly model and close ups from the highres one. Quote
Sly Assassin Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 Hi all, heres my first ever model (Still a WIP), it's a Tie Interceptor from Star Wars obviously. I've been learning maya for about 4 weeks now and that took me roughly 3 hrs to make. Any Crit welcome, obviously I'm missing some more laser cannons and other details which will come later on Quote
BJA Posted August 7, 2008 Report Posted August 7, 2008 A little environment scene I'm currently working on. The trees are from 3ds max and are just placeholders, the dog and human models are zbrush base models and just there to get the scaling right. Everything very wip and all objects are randomly placed. I'm not very happy with the camera angle so I'll probably change that. a different angle: Some textured props. Quote
-HP- Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Yeah, that is some radical change of style alright. From high tech to medieval. The props are looking great, keep up dude. Quote
aph0x Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 @bja: the props are relly nice but anything except the shield looks like it could need some dirt... @sly assassin: really good start for your "first ever model" keep it going ! ..back to sparta: @hessi: i agree .. you're not the first one who told me this ... i fixed the leg length a little bit..but i don't know if it looks better or not what do you think? ps: i will post wire and detail stuff later when i switch back to 3dsmax! c&c are always welcome Quote
I3yG-MaK Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 well, try to find a image whith a huge "musculman" and take that as reference, cause the torax looks a bit estrange to me. This img will work to you. By the way i'll show an uptade of the face im modeling right now. Quote
-HP- Posted August 9, 2008 Report Posted August 9, 2008 aph0x, why does he have tiny arms? I bet he couldn't even scratch his balls if he tried to. And please, stop using direct upload, use http://tinypic.com/ instead, they don't have any ads. Nice sculpting I3yG-MaK! Quote
aph0x Posted August 10, 2008 Report Posted August 10, 2008 thx for the crits i can only agree with you both i3yg-mak and hp .. i really need to fix the torso and his arms.. there is so much wrong i know.. but as i said before it's my first humoind everything and i need a lot more practice and feedback .. and .. i3yg-mak : your head sculpt is really nice but those nose wrinkle looks a bit to heavy?! ps hp: no problem i will use another filehoster like that one in your advice next time ! I3yG-MaK Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 i3yg-mak : your head sculpt is really nice but those nose wrinkle looks a bit to heavy?! they are made following a concept art, so just followed the concept. Another face practice, this one without concept. Quote
