Spellbinder Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 Well I did use those tools, but I used them as tools to create what I wanted, not just randomly... For instance the last one is cloth I draped over two human figures I posed in a sexual position, but to make the forms more interesting I began distorting it with modifiers until I had a sculpture I was happy with. For the bronzes I drew those forms out on paper almost exactly as they appear in those images, I used modifiers to help achieve what I had in my drawings and yes they are fake, I did not print them out yet, They are rendered with vray Thats a whole other story. If you allready had set in your mind/paper or whatever and accomplished that in the end then its good job on you Quote

mjens Posted February 21, 2007 Report Posted February 21, 2007 WIP LAV-25 how many polies? 6417 ? I'm blind... Now I see info on image doh... Quote
SnipaMasta Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Still heavy WIP...not quite sure about the whole battletorn thing myself but I think I can make it work. Edit: Ignore the faint black lines on some edges. Quote
jaboo224 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 yeah the war torn approach you took doesnt look that good more less looks like filter sponge even tho its not >: Quote
von*ferret Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 way too noisy and busy. Remove the major scratches. Make a more monotone approach. An ambient occlusion baked into the diffuse could look nice. Logos ect for some diffuse interest. Small scratches where they'd make sense. Mud on the bottom. Quote
SnipaMasta Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 Ferret - there already is one Update: Quote
Vinny Testaverde Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Snipa, I still think the metal doesn't looks like a metal, focus on something less cloudy and more solid, and put scratches of lines and dents.. Here are more sculptures: Quote
Ginger Lord Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Snipa, I still think the metal doesn't looks like a metal, focus on something less cloudy and more solid, and put scratches of lines and dents.. Agreed, also why is there a Union Jack on it when we don't use that vehicle at all? Quote
SnipaMasta Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Agreed, also why is there a Union Jack on it when we don't use that vehicle at all? It's a game set in the 'near future' and it's just got to be accepted that Army vehicle loadouts have changed. The same reason that the UK team has a HMMWV instead of a Iveco LMV Pretty much finished now Quote
ifO Posted February 25, 2007 Report Posted February 25, 2007 Wow, metal really came together at the end there, nice! Quote

Add some soot down the side near the muffler, like this: Quote
