tomdon Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Tree . I have left a bit of room on the texture to add some ivy on the trunk, I have not done this yet though. Quote
Sindwiller Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Very nice! Especially the leafs! Quote
Rick_D Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Very nice, I love how thick and luscious the foliage looks Quote

michi.be Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 pripyat hotel. still wip with messed up toon shader lines. its for battlefield2 Quote
aevirex Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Looks cool, although the scaling seems a little bit wrong when you compare it with the player model (Pripyat was the city close to chernobyl, right?) Quote
Sindwiller Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Are you sure that hotel is "готедь" (gotede (ь is a closed a; e.g. when you...) in russian? I think it's rather "гостиница" (gostilniza) . At least, the dictionary says so. "гостиница" in Bulgarian is more a tavern or a pub, and not a hotel ("хотел")... Quote

michi.be Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 aevirex: the playermodel is not that hight as it seems on the shot because my toon shader extends lines over the model boundaries so it looks a little bit more handdrawn. sindwiller: i cant speak the russian language or have an idea of their alphabet. all i hadwas an ukrainian alphabet from wikipedia and this reference shot: http://pix.fine.kiev.ua/egor/pic/0007p8h4 maybe i missed something but it looked ok for me. harefort Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 My first attempt at skinning. Still lots to learn, but I wanted to have it online anyway. Maybe I'll laugh at it in a year. Quote
KIIIA Posted February 7, 2007 Author Report Posted February 7, 2007 Very slowly it`s getting better with the rendering..... Quote
hessi Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 harefort: i hope this will be your last "skin" because it's not a skin, it's a texture! The skin is polygonmesh binded to a skeleton and not a texture or any other 2d image. though your texture looks nice and well done for a first try. How about texturing something more complex now? like a car such as KIIIA is doing kiiia: the backwheel is getting crappy reflections. try to get a better environmentmap. maybe increase the reflectivity by 300% and why did you take a side view? please post some more dynamic perspective views i still can remember that i showed you some tricks (play with focal length etc.) Quote
