Kosmo Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Fuck EQ2, the game is gay, and not gay like prince, gay like a prison butt fuck. Torch the EQ cd, go out and buy some materials for home made bomb with that 34 dollars and show them that you don't fuck with gamers. Quote
RD Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Kosmo over here (which is not america) u actually get arrested for saying stuff like that. Bombs is a kinda touchy subject these days Quote
mike-0 Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 This happened to me when i bought phantasy star online for my dreamcast a few years back. They acted like they didn't sell it to me, even though there was a FUCKING EB GAMES STICKER on the back. I was only maybe eleven or twelve at the time, and the game was only seven dollars so i bought it again. My friend had it happen to his UT2k4 account, too. Anyways, someone needs to take this kind of thing to court. Quote

Maybe Bush should attack USA to bring back "freedom and democracy" like he does around the world Am I right or what? Quote
jimius Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 Go to EB, tell them that they sold you a defective product (you are unable to play the game after all) and demand a refund. If they don't, make a fuss and demand to see the manager. Explain the situation to the manager and if he bitches about the policy then ask him if it's policy to sell defective products to customers. If they still won't fold, try to have a number of a local/semi-local consumer rights organization on your cellphone and call them where you are standing. From my experience (and I have had quite a few) most "policies" don't hold up to consumer laws. Like "discount items cannot be refunded", which is total BS, becuase if the discounted item is defective, they still have to give me a refund. Big advice in these cases, the company is usually bullshitting you and policies are made for their convience, not yours. Quote

JAL Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 I say you shouldn´t blame the people who sell it. You should blame it on the "hackers" that make cdkey generators etc. that with some luck may just steal your cdkey before you´ve even bought the box. Still EB Games or whatever the company is doing the selling should give a refund. Quote

Well, they are already taking the risk of the cdkey being hacked when they sell a product to someone, they should refund or give him another copy of the game. If I buy a package of cereals from the store and it is empty I get a refund since I didn't get anything my moneys worth of cereals, just the box, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell what they need to do, but obviously EB does.
