johnm487 Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 anyone have any experience with this? i use it at work and i kind of like it. is it the same thing as max? i mainly use maya at my house, but ive been thinking about making a transition to max. Quote
von*ferret Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 VIZ is not the tool for gaming. From what I remember it worked in conjunction with Auto CAD in making architectural things. Your best bet is maya or max or...shudder...XSI Quote
johnm487 Posted August 2, 2005 Author Report Posted August 2, 2005 i know its not for gaming, and i use it for architectural crap at my work, but it seems to be the same thing, minus everything used for gaming. but using viz seems easier and i was wondering if it was the same thing as max(applying UVW maps and all that other stuff in the modifier list). Lee3dee Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 according to my student in the max class i taught this summer, it has the same functionality as 3dsmax for mapping textures, and UV unwrapping. I've never seen or used it, so i don't know Quote
