KIIIA Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 Hi, it`s me again with another low skillers model work. Yesterday when i was browsing through mapcore i found a pic of a smurf village, and i liked the toad houses. So i decided to train my modeling and skinning skills on such an object (they really need training). Textures are about 70% by me. Thats what i came up with: - - Quote
st0lve Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 yay mushroom heaven D:! wireframe? flats? Quote
Thrik Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Haha, awesome. Texture on the smurf roof looks a bit blurrified though, kind of takes away from what's an otherwise sharp image. Quote
von*ferret Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 If youare going cartoony, a photoreferenced chimney texture may not be the wisest of options. Otherwise looks like a solidly built model. Quote
OL Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 yes i think the chimney isnt cartooney enough but this is good anyway Quote
Lee3dee Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 id almost make the chimney a little rounded to go with the mushroom shape. The hard edge of the chimney makes it really stand out. Quote
Skjalg Posted August 3, 2005 Report Posted August 3, 2005 I think i'd keep the square chimney, just make it a little smaller.. i mean, not so tall.. and ofcourse, make the bricks a little bigger and more cartoony Quote
PhilipK Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 very nice! If youare going cartoony, a photoreferenced chimney texture may not be the wisest of options. Otherwise looks like a solidly built model. also.. what he said. Quote
Pericolos0 Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 the smurfs are from belgium kokosovar Quote
