jfas Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 So i was riding my bike to work this morning, i work at an ice cream shop, and after turning a corner a few blocks from my destination, a car decided to hit me. I know it was an accident, but that doesnt mean its still not her fault, and my bicycle (my only means of transportation) is now broken. I didnt get hit right on, that would have really sucked, i was able to get it so the car only hit my ankle....this is all about two months now since someone ran into my car, leaving the radiator busted...im a little angry, a little frustrated, and very disheartened at this point Quote
von*ferret Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 welcome to savannah man. Can't wait for me to get ran over. Walking in this weather BLOWS. My deli got closed too, zach is laid off. You guys hiring? lol Quote
Tequila Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 Shoulda sued his ass(ets), and then you'd never have to work for a loooooooooooooooooooooong time. That's all Americans do, right? Grow fat and file lawsuits? Quote
ReNo Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 Don't you have insurance on your car and bike? If it was the driver's fault, shouldn't they have paid for the damages, either through their own insurance or out of their pocket? Quote

jfas Posted July 21, 2005 Author Report Posted July 21, 2005 well, this bicycle thing just happened today, i will try and get compensated for at least my bike, as for the car, it wasnt worth increasing my insurance premiums so i didnt call them. oh and i cant even believe this turned into an america vs europe thread, that is truly amazing Quote
Izuno Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 yeah back on topic, get that person to pay for the bike for sure. is your ankle hurt bad? can you walk? Quote

Kosmo Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 I use mainly public transportation and bicycle for my means of moving from place to place, I fucking hate cars, cost like arm and leg, if you buy one, you are broke and have to work harder, if you own one you'll fix it and insure it till you are broke and try to work harder, what is the point? I'd take a loan from bank to buy me a death trap that is also a major money hole? Just fix your bike, and catapult + car = tons of fun applications. Quote
FrieChamp Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 I remember the 7 months without a car. Maaan those months sucked! Quote
Schmung Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 Public transportation is simply not an option for me where I live, so i love my car, despite the hole it burns in my pocket. Quote
