st0lve Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Well a little while ago, Interplay reopened their webpage. And with some info and stuff, there is something interessting: Our strategy is to invest in products for those platforms, whether PC or video game console, that have or will have sufficient installed bases or a large enough number of potential subscribers for the investment to be economically viable. We do not currently internally develop new products. As we anticipate continued substantial growth in the use of high-speed Internet access, which could provide significantly expanded market potential for online products, we are focusing our efforts to launching an online service, entitled GamesOnLine, allowing consumers to become part of a unique online community of gamers and access selected content. http://www.interplay.com/ http://www.gamesonline.com/ (Currently with only a "under construction" gif) Sounds kinda interessting to me, maybe they'll get back on their feet sometime if GamesOnLine works properly. skdr Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Interplay webpage with awful colors and comic sans font. Can't be real Quote
Pericolos0 Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 no way that is the new interplay website Quote
ReNo Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 "Current assets" in their quarterly financial report = £865. For a minute I thought that was the ACTUAL value, not value in thousands Quote
Kosmo Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Well it can actually be true, since Sierra is still here, as a name anyway, so why wouldn't Interplay stay as a name for some bigger publishers brands? It had a very good run, atleast better than that crappy Atari aka. Infogrames. Quote
st0lve Posted July 19, 2005 Author Report Posted July 19, 2005 The reason I think its real is this: http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14845 Its registered almost 10 years ago, about the time when Interplay started. Quote
