Schmung Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 Stoke is only 15. There ain't that many people who are currently active (in the communities I lurk in) who can do everything to be honest. Lots of modellers/unwrappers, few texture artists, but not many who you'd call the complete package. Edit : Just noticed those pics you linked to Stolve (quote and copy paste dhte links), the M3 is actually my model avec his texture. He did it after seeing this : 'twas for a mod I started, but has sadly gone into hibernation due to a lack of interested coders.
kleinluka Posted July 12, 2005 Author Report Posted July 12, 2005 That's nice, but the candidate needs to be 18 and optimally be able to model, unwrap and texture their own models.
Schmung Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 Exactly. Hence the problem, there are only about 5-6 people I can think of who do all those things to a high enough standard and none of them are active anymore. If Stoke continues the way he's going though, he'll be great by the time he reaches that age. The two that pop into my head are enin (who lurks around DLCSS and CDG) and er.. shit, forgotten the other one. WIll nose around the forums tomorrow and post again with links and more info.
FrieChamp Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 Ok other names which come to my head are Lonewolf (http://www.lone-wolf.tk/), Firegold, Fox-Mike and Wannabe. No idea what they are up to lately though.
st0lve Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 Wannabe sometimes post at DLCSS, but I think he is away. Don't forget -X-, but something happend to him (have no idea about what).
Schmung Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 Enins stuff : More here : http://cdg.csnation.net/viewtopic.php?t=19294&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
st0lve Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 Oh yeah forgot about enin, he got some serious modelling, unwrapping and skinning skills.
RD Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 ok that german guy i was talking about doesnt want to relocate
kleinluka Posted July 13, 2005 Author Report Posted July 13, 2005 I already talked to Lonewolf. He lives in Israel. Too much of a hassle to bring him to Canada. Security checks will take forever since he basically lives in a warzone. I'll check out that enin guy. Thanks [edit]i cant find contact info for enin. anyone have his email? the one on the website gopf@my-mail.ch doesnt work.[/edit]
Schmung Posted July 13, 2005 Report Posted July 13, 2005 No-one I know has got a valid one. Best bet is a PM on CDG or DLCSS I think.
kleinluka Posted July 21, 2005 Author Report Posted July 21, 2005 Update: This position is now open for off-site contracting. For more information e-mail me at daniel.luka@ubisoft.com The candidate must to be able to model, unwrap and texture.
st0lve Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 You should REALLY post it on DLCSS, some of the best skinners EVR hang there.
curman Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 stop asking and do it p.s. wait like 2 months then i will perhaps be confident in my modelling, i know how to skin + uv~
