It does you just need to trigger the check. It didn't scrap the database to give them right away i think.

The only thing missing here is the perks related to leveling up.

I think when you reach the final level here, you will unlock the final boss; you will have to fight Thrik, no question about it, and if you win, mapcore is yours.
