von*ferret Posted June 28, 2005 Report Posted June 28, 2005 My only problem with the level is the repetition on the sides of your building. i'd suggest stretching a decal of something over them simply to break them up and get more variation. Otherwise its looking grand. Quote
FrieChamp Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 What daytime is that level set at? I'm seeing a little bit of orange at the horizon, so if you want to make it dusk/dawn, you should emphasize it and tweak it a little more. If you're going for complete daylight, props for that, but I think the level lacks some ambience. So working on the lighting wouldn't hurt in my opinion. Especially since this is assault, CTs raiding the warehouse at dawn/night, this kind of thing. Also I don't see any trees, I think they would really enhance the scene (the hills are completely empty). Oh, and somehow that roof texture of the warehouse is really distracting, at least on the screenshot, maybe you can find a better one. Overall looking good though, keep it up! Quote
RD Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Im swallowing it Looks like a sweet assault remake. Only i wish ppl would stop using the standard measurements for their remakes, source can do things much bigger (im talking about the size of the warehouse area, the route to the warehouse etc) Quote
silver Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 it has to keep the same gameplay and feeling of playing assault Quote
Zacker Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 I like it and I don't mind that they kept the same size. I must also say that you are incredible fast at making maps! Quote
RD Posted June 30, 2005 Report Posted June 30, 2005 it has to keep the same gameplay and feeling of playing assault Y? Quote
silver Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 else it wouldnt be cs_assault_source, but rather something like cs_wannabe_assault_v2005k4 Quote
Tequila Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 else it wouldnt be cs_assault_source, but rather something like cs_wannabe_assault_v2005k4 Oh please, as if Assault has some exalted gameplay we should all aspire to. Don't be afraid to try something new, Bluestrike. Quote
ReNo Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 But this isn't cs_assault_source (which Valve are already making remember) - its cs_logistic_assault. If it just plays like Assault, then its no better than the cs_wannabe_assault_v2005k4's you mention. Too many attempts at accurate clones, its good if it takes a different approach IMO. Quote
