It's pretty legit. Currently running around Act 1 as a dual barb whacking the shit outta everything. Not experienced any technical issues so far. Feels good, it's definitely d2 but shinier. All the clunk is still there, which is fine, it's d2, you don't remove the clunk.

Great read, apparently the team didn't have specialized game designers, and artists couldn't even preview their stuff ingame until a programmer manually implemented their work, and a new build was generated. Very interesting times

Have to wait until I build my new rig sometime this month to play. I will let the world fade while I relive some of the best years of my life.

Got my new rig put together and bought d2r for 25% off on bnet. Going from a gtx 770 to an rtx 3060 has me feeling like I'm playing games for the first time, guess I didn't realize how far behind my machine was. What's funny is this is the first time in 7+ years I can play games with the latest, greatest graphics, but I find myself only wanting to play diablo. Greatness is greatness no matter how many decades have past.
