-HP- Posted August 26, 2020 Author Report Posted August 26, 2020 Love that they rerecorded the score, I'm sensing a lot of love went into this... Can't wait, a month to go! Zarsky and blackdog 2 Quote
Buddy Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 (edited) Where is the specular on characters? Hope somebody can fix this post-release, lol. Other than that looks like a solid remake, looking forward to this. Edited August 27, 2020 by Buddy blackdog 1 Quote
blackdog Posted August 27, 2020 Report Posted August 27, 2020 Yeah I haven’t looked at whatever they’ve been releasing, other than the first trailer and that mission playthrough. Mafia is just one of my fav games ever, I never replayed it cos I was worried about ruining the good memory of it. This might be the time I actually revisit it. Also Mafia 2 for being old was running quite rubbish on my pc and was also the reason I didn’t continue it after the first session. +Rusty+ 1 Quote
blackdog Posted August 29, 2020 Report Posted August 29, 2020 Mafia looks great, but the people seem pretty stiff, in particular while running there’s no incline when the character turns an angle… hopefully is just the preview? Quote

Some of the pedestrian anim blending is no better than Mafia 1, definitely room for improvement. blackdog 1 Quote

Yeah but we’ve seen better from same level productions… oh well i like what they show in this video, in particular the ability to punch someone and then shoot them in the face. Wish someone would bring back the idea of deep hand to hand combat the developers of The Godfather game attempted (as well as Indiana Jones in that infamous demo). Even something somewhat simplified but with deep control, like Fight Night 4, directing your swings with the actual stick was something else. Pampers Posted September 25, 2020 Report Posted September 25, 2020 alright, now I got plans for the weekend Quote
-HP- Posted September 25, 2020 Author Report Posted September 25, 2020 Put around 2 or 3 hours in tonight. Exactly what was mentioned, characters render and animation tech could be better. But everything else is spot on. The game sounds and looks great, driving feels awesome. But where this game really shines, just like the original, is in the story and the missions. Quote
