Izuno Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8186856/?GT1=6657 AMHERST, Mass. - Two eighth-graders who spent months working on a science project to prove how dangerous BB guns can be were disqualified from the state middle school science fair. The reason for the dismissal: BB guns are too dangerous. Discuss. Quote
Wedge Antilles Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 Yeah, sorry for the question, but, what is a BB gun ? Not that I'm stupid... but Im not a english speaker to understand this. Quote

Mojo Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 usually for science fair projects they have to get approved from the teacher, et al. So that is rather BS that they were disqualified since they were not told of that requirement. (Again I didn't read the actual, and am basing my argument solely on what Iz posted) Quote
DanielAragon Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 lesat they proved that they were dangerous Quote

Kosmo Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 If they don't have age issues with that, how can it be banned for being too dangerous? It's like saying that you can't drive a car because it is too dangerous even if you are old enough. I love Air soft, it is way cooler than Paintball, the guns look like real guns, tho the problem of not knowing when you got hit and not having any proof that you hit someone like in Paintball it a minus. FrieChamp Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 It's more like not having a crash test with crash dummies because car crashes are so dangerous  Quote
