Quit mapping and gaming in 2010 when our second child was born, kids are getting older now thought I would fire up Hammer for shits and giggles, de_cassels was a map I started long ago for CS source, it got put on the back burner and never got finished, thought I would dig it out for CSGO, even though I don't play (4 hours playtime since the release lol). fewseb Posted September 5, 2019 Report Posted September 5, 2019 Pretty good for someone just coming back to mapping and making the jump over from source, alot of older source mappers couldnt even get to this level after they switched to GO. Id say this is close to late 2013-early 2014 in both look and ascetics. If you experimented a little bit and start using HR assets I think you could put out some pretty good work in the future. gordonfeetman 1 Quote

Wintrius Posted September 9, 2019 Report Posted September 9, 2019 This style is very remanent of CS: Source (hence your description), and I really like the feel it gives off. The geometry you have going looks pretty nice. If you're planning on getting this map in CSGO or beyond where it stands, I'd recommend spicing it up with some high-res (and possibly custom) textures. As far as visuals go, that's my only criticism. This looks pretty solid, and you seem to know what you are doing. Quote
