[CS:GO] de_Shrine

Hey Mapcore community!

Shoutout to TopHatWaffle's youtube channel and his great tutorials!

As of now I have worked on this map for just over a few weeks time and thought it would be really helpful to get advice from someone before i put too much time into the project :)

The theme is inspired by my last trip to Japan. My goal is for it to be small and fun!

It has many wallbangable sliding paperdoors around the bombsite area.

Made some changes today to improve on the maps theme.

1. Made all of the slidingdoors actual doors, so now you can completely open up or close the main building as you like (including bombsite). Good or bad idea? Seems like fun :)

2. Created a huge Torii gate near CT spawn (outside playable area).

I don't play your map ( i haven't got the time )

But the theme ans the screenshot are pretty good !

The bomb site is maybe too exposed , you can put crates for exemples or some props 

The sliding doors is a good idea !

It's a little weird to jump to join the path in the Ct Spawn but ok 😂

It may be fun, but it just wont work for competetive, same as Undepass in prev. versions of my map. It  just wont work

but interesting tbh (i will make 2nd entry to the ws, something like fun version where are gonna be all of those fun to play with things which are not competeively viable)

I love the idea of sliding doors around a bombsite! (but take with a grain of salt, I'm a bit of a doorfan myself ^-^)

Gameplay-wise I do have to agree though, probably limiting it to a few stretches (but not necessarily a few doors!) is the smarter choice. Isn't to say you could never make the initial idea work though. Maybe with some real-time shadows shining onto the paper from the outside essentially making it a informed wallbang for defenders, while attackers have to go in blind? But I honestly don't know a) if that plays well and b) whether Source Engine can do that :v

Update to the map!

1. I made it into a bigger standard defuse map!

2. I uploaded a WIP version to the workshop for you to play! 

3. Added working Radar (Terri00's CS-GO-Auto-Radar)
