kleinluka Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 whats with all the mud slinging. this is not the best way to promote your uncreative idea for a mod, mawbise  this is getting ridicolous. Quote
mawibse Posted February 4, 2004 Author Report Posted February 4, 2004 Guess I'll only responds to those who has something constructive to say from now on. Kinda boring if you ask me, but then again when The_Postman post one word insults its like you say, rediculus. Quote
DD Posted February 5, 2004 Report Posted February 5, 2004 You started it! :x Seriously good luck with your mod, even though your views on some of the best games anger me. Try to consider the fact that most sims and "most realistic mod ever" mods almosts always suck. Find out what sucks about them, and fix it! Good luck. Quote
mawibse Posted February 5, 2004 Author Report Posted February 5, 2004 You started it! Lol...yeah, but I didn't think that this mod idea would be so offensive. Seriously good luck with your mod Thanks. even though your views on some of the best games anger me. ?? Well, I think I’m hardly alone when I think that sequels are not the most original things a game developer can do? But let’s not get into a semantics fight again; I think my views on games are very similar to yours though our understanding of what makes them fun is slightly different. Try to consider the fact that most sims and "most realistic mod ever" mods almosts always suck. Yep, which for us is an incentive to make one that don't. Not that I’d actually call this mod “ most realistic ever” or a sim. We are after the "realism feeling”, not actual realism. Find out what sucks about them, and fix it! They have bad timing. Usually you have to wait too long until you get into the action. And when you do get into action the feeling is just not right. Boring in other words. Quote
Ewok Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Counter-Strike has a good balance between realism and fun. Yes, it may not be the most realistic mod by any means, but it had enough of it before it became boring and drab. I still love it. On your mod mawibse, sorry to say but if I see another m4a1 or mp5 tactical op game I tend to puke. So far what you've mentioned offers nothing new to what all the other mods of the genre have done already, besides one or two little things that wouldn't be enough. Maybe if your mod was set to getting the genre done right maybe. But this genre has been done fairly well and enough times. For example, I know there's TONS of Dragonball Z mods, but none have done it right yet, there has been like 2 out of the hundred that aren't completly terrible crap. Further Counter-Strike 2 is going to give people what they want with better and more impressive graphics which further shows that this mod idea won't work. I really think you just have to consider what I and the people are saying, when we say, "This mod isn't going to work. Bad idea." As for creative ideas, I would tell either way, they're mine. - Ewok Quote
Duff-e Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 if you cry about cs being realistic, just look at every other mod out there for half life and show me one that is. rainbow six is as realistic as it gets, and we all know how horrible rainbow six is. Quote
st0lve Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 rainbow six is as realistic as it gets, and we all know how horrible rainbow six is.Raven Shield is the most horrible evr yeah, but Rogue Spear (r6: 2 some might say) is the bst evr. Quote
