Bloodline (Netflix)

A bit of old news, but I'm really enjoying this one right now. It's very relatable to me as a Florida Man, they go full-bore with that Florida shit (alligators, jorts, flamingos, dolphins, the works!), but the cinematography on it is so great. The casting is absolutely top notch, all the characters are super super compelling.

Well done Shawn, finally someone with my taste. Watched this last November-January. Shame they closed a bit in a hurry because show want renewed. Looking forward to hear your conspiracy theory on the ending.

I watched the first season a few years ago and really enjoyed it. As you said, the characters are really well thought-out and the acting overall is great too. Started to watch the 2nd season afterwards, but for some reason didn't finish it, not sure why, cause it's not like it wasn't delivering from what I remember. This is a good reminder to give the 2nd season another spin

Whenever I make a triple-A game, I want Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelsohn as voice actors  absolutely love them

Hm. Well I just finished the series. Season 1 was the high point, Season 2 was... ok. Season 3 was a disaster. I guess ending shows is pretty difficult *shrug*

Still, in hindsight it was worth watching for Season 1 !

Hey Shawn have you looked up explainers about the ending? I was so shocked I read a few, but basically what seems happened was that they had 5 seasons planned, if I remember correctly, but they had to hurry it up, so came up with that confusing solution.

I thought from the ending it was pretty obvious they were getting shit-canned and rushed to throw something together, no matter how ridiculous. It seemed clear they had NO clue what the fuck they wanted to do, but really the whole third season felt like that. Maybe the best writers moved on...

but more importantly, I think they made a HUGE miscalculation by killing off Ben Mendelbro in the first season. It would be like if Breaking Bad killed off Walter White in the first season... insanely dumb idea.
