kleinluka Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Interesting read... http://dukenukem.typepad.com/game_matte ... rmy_b.html Quote
Kosmo Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Whoa, pretty flammable situation with all the politics and employer don't know anything about running a game development and all that, pretty interesting read all together. :edit: Forgot to mention that I really don't envy the developers working on the project. DaanO Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Interesting read indeed. Never realised it went that wrong but i can imagine. Game developers and politicians/ army men are just way different people most of the time. Quote
Zacker Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 Indeed interesting, I had not heard of this stuff before. Quote
jfas Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 who knew working for the government would suck... Quote
mike-0 Posted May 11, 2005 Report Posted May 11, 2005 i think it took off and became more of a game that people just plain like to play, like CS, and less of a recruitment strategy. the game reaches #3 on the gamespy server list - and then they complain that its not good enough? they dont mean the game isnt good enough, i think it means its not doing what they meant for it to do. my friend told me that the game is extremely popular in sweden and germany - of course, people from those countries dont join the US army.
