Stefan Pavel Posted July 21, 2018 Report Posted July 21, 2018 https://prntscr.com/k98fsg here is a pic I've deleted some props that were shown as leaks, but the poinfile is pointing in the same direction, throw the skybox, in the same spot. Some way to fix this? thx. I forgot to tell u that this is a CS:GO Map. Quote
El_Exodus Posted July 21, 2018 Report Posted July 21, 2018 There's either a tiny gap in between the brushes or one of the brushes is tied to an entity like func_detail or similar. Quote
Stefan Pavel Posted July 21, 2018 Author Report Posted July 21, 2018 Can u check that for me? here is a link to download the map [LINK REMOVED] pls, this map is very important for me and my buddies If i delete the "leaked" prop, then i retry to see the leak, it leads me to another prop, and the red line always ends at the very bottom of the map, and then outside. El_Exodus Posted July 21, 2018 Report Posted July 21, 2018 No, not only does link look very fishy, you also should learn to fix this yourself. The props are not the problem, the brushes sealing the map are the problem. Quote
Stefan Pavel Posted July 21, 2018 Author Report Posted July 21, 2018 The link is from a hosting site here in my country, Romania, from there comes the ".ro" domain, and it's free and no registration. U just download the file and u will see inside the .zip archive the sdk hammer files. How should i learn to fix them all by myself if i don't know where to start? Do u think that i came here to steal ur stuff or smthing? NO. I came here because i searched topics ab leaks in sdk hammer and i got this forum, them i tried to see if any1 can help me with my problem. I don't even know what "brush" means in this program... Stefan Pavel Posted July 21, 2018 Author Report Posted July 21, 2018 NVM, i deleted and then created a new skybox and now it compiles. Thanks 4 the help... i guess... ? Quote
blackdog Posted July 21, 2018 Report Posted July 21, 2018 (edited) Is not the .ro the problem, more suspicious is "girlshare"... also the screen wasn't linked properly. Also there is this thing called the Valve developer network where you find lots of guides: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Leak there are loads of videos on youtube. We learned this ourselves, when there weren't really good guides so, as you have seen, you have managed yourself. You should be happy instead of sour. Also this is a topic for the 3D forum I believe @FMPONE @[HP] Edited July 21, 2018 by blackdog El_Exodus 1 Quote

Thanks 4 the help... i guess... ? Brushes are the 'blocks' you work with. They are called like that. Maps have to be sealed perfectly with world brushes and without any gaps. If there are gaps, entities like props can "see" into the void which will lead to errors. To avoid any leaks in the future, make sure to keep "snap to grid" enabled when creating your skybox. Quote
Stefan Pavel Posted July 21, 2018 Author Report Posted July 21, 2018 Well, i don't know how it could be a gap inside the skybox when i make it as a single block with the hollow effect, as shown in a youtube tut. Thx anyway. Topic Closed. Quote
