-HP- Posted September 27, 2017 Report Posted September 27, 2017 Hanz Zimmer man! This also reminded me to order Planet Earth II! Thrik 1 Quote
Beck Posted September 28, 2017 Report Posted September 28, 2017 I love this kind of TV. As soon as you hear David Attenboroughs voice you know you're going to learn some cool shit. blackdog 1 Quote
Thrik Posted September 28, 2017 Author Report Posted September 28, 2017 Yeah, all these BBC ones (Planet Earth, Life, Africa, Blue Planet) are absolutely sublime. I wouldn't say I'm massively into nature documentaries, but these ones just make them so epic and awe-inspiring. Plus you just can't beat an Attenborough narration. Quote
blackdog Posted October 1, 2017 Report Posted October 1, 2017 Awesome, the trailer popped up on my yt homepage as well. Can't wait. I used to have documentary night when I was young with my parents, just with the Italian equivalent of Sir David. Last year I watched Planet Earth 2 and Frozen Planet, and they threw my compass off... I mean I was suffering, I was feeling physical and mental pain, like my stomach would contract and I would feel super excited and sad at the same time: they make me feel to just travel, like I always wanted to do. Seriously questioning to drop everything, job, girlfriend... to just go. Quote

I'm intending to drop it all and travel, but I'm planning for it 2 years in advance so I actually make the most of my time and money. It's a serious effort, at least for what I'm planning. That being said, who knows what I'll do in 2 years lol. blackdog 1 Quote

I mean I know you do great photography and taking the jump for something like this could open the door of a completely new career in that. PS: when you do drop me a message, maybe I can come and help you carry your camera equipment ? Edited October 1, 2017 by blackdog 2d-chris 1 Quote
2d-chris Posted October 1, 2017 Report Posted October 1, 2017 Too early to say, but my plan was to always go on a crazy adventure before I hit 35, shit starts getting real then. Lets just say if I do it, I'll be finding ways to potentially further my hobby, but making games is fun. blackdog, Thrik and -HP- 2 1 Quote

Thrik Posted November 8, 2017 Author Report Posted November 8, 2017 Really enjoyed the first episode. And now anticipating the second. I also need to get back to Planet Earth II as I got distracted after a few episodes. Quote

Still need to watch it myself, waiting for the girlfriend to have a night off work. I've been listening to the soundtrack by Hans Zimmer. It's so good! blackdog 1 Quote
