So Ive been working on this map for like a month, and since its looking cool I decided to post here for C&C. It's for a HL.wad only contest. (not the same as KIIA tho)

I dont think I'll have the time to finish this because I may be going home next week and as soon as I get there I will start to work on my Insurgency stuff. If thats the case I think I'll release this .rmf and some other never finished maps as an open source mappack.

Very sexy dude :)

Some crits :

First screens, the architecture looks somewhat boring imo... kinda blocky. I like the details you added though. But maybe you should spice upp that architecture a bit. Maybe it's the roof?

Also the lighting looks kinda darkish for my taste.

I love the second screen :P

Third screen.. looks a (very little) bit plain. Maybe it's just an idea but maybe it's because of that yellow boring light at the left :P When I hided the left part of the pic with my hand it suddenly looked much better.

Fourth and fifth... I think the mixage of the yellow top texture, the red light and the greenish ground texture dont fit that well + the blue lights on the rights of the fifth screen. Hmm well it's not bad.. I'm just complaining, trying to give some crits :P

6th I like the architecture.. but that yellow light kills it.. it doesnt fit the sky.

7th 8th I really like! Specially that effect of the low sun shining through the window. Hmm could I suggest you lower the brightness of the white light on top of the box.. looks so flashy... and i see some weird red lighting on the floor?

Last screen looks cool, looks scary and mysterious. Maybe a tad to dark. Oh and make the sides of the window brushes plz!

About the yellow lights: Yeah I think I'll replace some.

About the glows n shit: I dont know whats going on at that part, a friend of mine took the screens and the glows were fucked up as you can see. They look fine here and I can only run in software mode (Im not home). There are actually 6 env_glows there, one for each window but I dunno why only 2 or 3 show up there. Their intensity is already low, its like 90 I think. We lowered it to like 20 and its still the same. I dunno whats causing those red spots on the floor either, they werent there last time I checked the map ingame :P

So seeing as the env_glows are causing lots of trouble I'll get rid of them, windows look cool without them. Or even better, I think I'll let only one so it gives the sun effect.

ps: Windows sides are normal brushes and the orange part is actually a plain white texture with render mode "color".

It's in portuguese and the deadline is may 1st, you guys wouldnt be interested I think :)

Just noticed that the fella who took the shots didnt have the updated version of the skybox, the old one looks bad.
