Epix Posted June 10, 2017 Report Posted June 10, 2017 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=942820954 Palmetto is my first attempt at a CS map, and turned out quite well in my opinion. It is far from done, but this is the first stable version of it that can be played normally. I'd love feedback and will credit those who have influential ideas. I'm open to anything. Thanks for reading, just try this map in your spare time, you won't regret it. - Epix Quote
noobgames Posted June 11, 2017 Report Posted June 11, 2017 Its very nice looking, I try playing it later. Any tips on working with diagonals? I keep on having a hard time working with them Quote
blackdog Posted June 12, 2017 Report Posted June 12, 2017 @noobgames depends what you trying to do I think. Keep it 45° or leave weirder angles for things like walls/edges of map, which means you are manipulating thick brushes via vertex tool otherwise you have to learn to use instances, which allow you to create say a house in a separate file, and import it in the map like a prop-model that you can rotate at will. I believe is best practice to do that with decoration structures and keep it to the main grid for gameplay areas. noobgames 1 Quote
