It is a busy day in St. Augustine, the United States's oldest city. In the courtyard of La Café Coquina, a centuries-old monument is undergoing restoration. In a nearby part of town, a shipment of valuable antiques from St. Nicolas' Shoppe to the new art museum is nearing completion. A band of renegade vigilantes has telegraphed their attack toward one of these places, and an elite five-man team of SWAT officers has been dispatched to the area. Tensions are hotter than the blazing sun overhead. Welcome...to Coquina.

Imgur album of screenshots.

Doesn't quite live up to the description yet, but I'm looking forward to doing it justice.

Very early work done so far.  Layout has been tested with bots and a few real life friends, but I'd love an expert's feedback.

Let me know what you think!

Looks a bit complex, will you release a .Bsp for us to look it up in-game? :)

(I noticed you textured the top of buildings etc, you should probably start no-drawing non visible faces already to save you optimization passes afterwards. My rule of thumb personnally is to always no draw faces then texture them, that way you only texture what you can see and nothing more, and if you missed one, you'll rapidly see it when inspecting the map)

Thanks for the tip.  I was initially planning to work in devtextures then do a mass replace with nodraw after I finalize the layout, but it can't hurt to start now.  As for the BSP, I'll gladly provide it after I leave work in a few hours; stay tuned!
