Beck Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 Not seen a thread for this yet and they've just released the announcement trailer: Looks like an interesting setting. Fnugz, Vaya, Sentura and 4 others 7 Quote
WD Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 (edited) I hope this time it has a true co-op where you can play the whole game with a buddy. It was a bit disappointing in the last one that you only could just fart around in co-op and only complete the optional missions and have the main ones locked away. John D. Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 Wow they really managed to pick an awesome setting! I hope this ain't bashed by reviewers if it treads over political grounds too much though, I'd like to see more games like this. Quote

Pampers Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 I like the new setting, hoping for some more variations and refreshments in the gameplay section too Sprony, blackdog and Radu 3 Quote
Puddy Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 Far Cry is one of my guilty pleasures. I hate to say this but if this game comes out and it's just "more of the same" of FC3/4 I'd still enjoy it I think. But I'm hoping there's a bit more to it of course! Sprony 1 Quote

I know that feeling although I couldn't force myself to finish Primal. Quote
blackdog Posted May 26, 2017 Report Posted May 26, 2017 Been waiting for this since the first teases: was imagining a civil war kind of scenario, separatists, domestic terrorists… but this looks just as good. Although I haven't finished FC4 yet (I got stuck in the escape scene for too long and run out of steam, even if I managed to get through the section later) I still feel like I'd play FC3 again, especially the challenge maps were more enjoyable than the sequel. Sentura Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 Really looking forward to this, been waiting for a game set in the american heartland. Really love that setting, hoping this will be a deliverance! blackdog 1 Quote
blackdog Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 Me too, I think this is the most interesting setting they have had in the whole franchise, at least on par on FC2. Main character and supporting cast should also be a bit more believable this time. (Although I didn't mind FC3, was fun enough to forget who the character background was; in FC4 I felt a clear dissonance between hero and antagonist... I mean you're slaughtering his men and he tries to raise you on the radio to go to him??) Quote
PaulH Posted May 30, 2017 Report Posted May 30, 2017 I also think this looks and sounds interesting in terms of the setting. I do like the Far Cry games (couldn't finish Primal either though Sprony) - I hope there's a bit of a Leftovers/cult vibe mixed in with all the American redneck-ery Sprony 1 Quote
