Roy Posted May 25, 2017 Report Posted May 25, 2017 (edited) A defusal map based on destroying Stage 1 of an ICBM or the propellant fuel. Question: Is making a fully indoor map (ie. no sky, all bounded) okay? I've never seen it done before... Edit: GameBanana post is now up. http://gamebanana.com/wips/47154 Edited July 9, 2017 by Roy Quote
text_fish Posted May 25, 2017 Report Posted May 25, 2017 It's "okay" to make a fully indoor map, but there are good reasons it doesn't get done very often for two main reasons that I can think of: 1. The opportunities for interesting grenade tactics are greatly reduced 2. The map will likely be visually unappealing and repetitive. RaLeX, qeawré.XMScASgéAZFSJ and Fnugz 3 Quote
Roy Posted May 28, 2017 Author Report Posted May 28, 2017 (edited) Update: Layout kind of ready, but no cover yet and needs some revisions regarding sightlines and rotate times. Also, very small map (2400x2400). Also, now it's no longer fully indoors. I hope there isn't any problem if I post my map to Gamebanana.com, since I cannot post to Steam Workshop.... SKP Posted May 28, 2017 Report Posted May 28, 2017 The rules say that both, a gamebanana or steam workshop post, are ok qeawré.XMScASgéAZFSJ and Roy 2 Quote

ThManWhoSoldTheWorld Posted June 19, 2017 Report Posted June 19, 2017 You should download stuff from de_depot map, there is a lot of rocket models from csgo:beta Quote
SirK Posted June 20, 2017 Report Posted June 20, 2017 There was a competitive map back in the 1.6 days with a similar setting and style. Forgot the Name though. You basically want to do the oposite of what that map did xD if you want to make a map that is fully indoor - you should think about vents and pipes to throw nades into rooms - oh and dont use more than 1 or 2 squeakys.. xD Keep on working! Roy Posted June 22, 2017 Author Report Posted June 22, 2017 Um, it's not fully indoors anymore. 1 hour ago, blackdog said: cs_workout is fully indoor and has been included in the operations Agency as well I would argue is an indoor map, as the spawn for CT is not really a big play area (in my experience players were all dead before getting back) of course there's loads of vertical space so doesn't feel claustrophobic, you can lob nades etc Quote
Roy Posted July 6, 2017 Author Report Posted July 6, 2017 (edited) de_icbm Alpha Version 1: Images. I think this will be the only update for this month, because real life. Feel free to provide feedback. No GameBanana post yet. Now up; check title post. Edited July 9, 2017 by Roy FMPONE 1 Quote
Roy Posted July 27, 2017 Author Report Posted July 27, 2017 (edited) So, there's been an update to Mid, and a proper overview +bug fixes. Optimization still in progress. I think it's time for getting this playtested. A Site feels really hard for Ts to even get to without being shot in the back. Don't use the gamebanana version of the map for the time being. It's outdated. PS not a jump from CT to rest of map. It's a bug. Edited July 27, 2017 by Roy Quote
