The weapons and items hover, turn etc like the Quake and Unreal Game's. Note: Non mappers can try out the test map called: custom_turning_weapons_holo.bsp and called: holo_slam_grenade_spawns_patch.bsp ------------------------------------------------- The .VMF is also available to help mappers setup the custom weapons for their maps. Extract the .zip file and place the folder called "hl2mp" into your "Half-Life 2 Deathmatch" Folder. E.G. blackdog Posted May 20, 2017 Report Posted May 20, 2017 (edited) Pretty cool, although not sure I would ever use it as it's quite out of the context of the HL2 world. What I wanted to do when I was thinking of making HL2DM maps, was to place a spotlight above to make obvious weapon and items pickups, and turn the light off (or change color) during the cool down before respawn. Yeah the spotlight feature you're talking about is in the 2nd VMF file (holo_slam_grenade_spawns_patch) The main reason I made this model pack is because I'm porting my Black Mesa Deathmatch map to HL2DM. It's in the style of the Quake and Unreal games. There's videos and screenshots in the link below.
